Fuel Preparation

Fuel Gas Dehumidifiers / Driers

A fuel gas dehumidifier or gas dryer is an ancillary system to a gas engine that is used to remove moisture from the fuel gas.

Carbon Filters

A carbon filter is an in-line container filled with activated carbon granules. Carbon filters are used for the removal of contaminants to serve with cleaner fuel gas the gas engines.

Fuel Gas Boosters

Fuel gas boosters or blowers are used to raise the pressure of the fuel gas to the operating level of the gas engine or combined heat and power plant.

Exhaust Cleaning

CL.AIR

The CL.AIR® Exhaust After-Treatment System for GE’s Jenbacher gas engines is a thermal regenerative post-combustion system for engine exhaust gases.

Carbon Dioxide Scrubbers

The carbon dioxide which is released as a hot gas in a CHP plant exhaust can be used for many beneficial purposes.

Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)

Genelco Power Systems Ltd can provide exhaust gas catalysts for the scrubbing of exhaust gases. Exhaust gas purification systems are able to reduce harmful exhaust gases by up to 95%.

Waste Heat Recovery

Exhaust Gas Heat Exchangers

Exhaust gas heat exchangers (EGHE) utilize waste heat from the exhaust of the GE Jenbacher gas engine cogeneration plant.

Waste Heat Boilers
Approximately 25% of the usable energy of the fuel gas is released in the exhaust of the gas engine. This can be captured for cogeneration in a combined heat and power plant.

Absorption Chillers

To deliver a trigeneration solution for a combined heat and power plant, absorption chillers can be used for this purpose. Absorption chillers produce chilled water by heating to separation two different substances that are in thermal equilibrium, and then reuniting them through heat removal.

Organic Rankine Cycle ORC
Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems utilize waste heat produced from industrial processes such as gas engine exhausts to provide additional electrical power. This can add up to 125kW of electrical power output to a heat-generating application without consuming additional fuel.
